Dave Loder is a CREATIVE practitioner, SCHOLAR AND EDUCATOR working fluidly across installation, interiors, architecture, landscape and sound. His CREATIVE practice TAKES THE FORM OF TOOLS, PLATFORMS, SIMULATIONS AND STUDIES, AND CONCERNS ‘worlding’, WITH A focus on the overlapping infrastructural AND technological APPARATUS - From language and cartography to machine sensing and digital platforms - which CONDITION HOW we spatially engage with and are structured by THE WORLD.

Dave is currently Lecturer in Interior, Architectural and Spatial Design at the Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh. From 2017-2023, Dave worked at The Glasgow School of Art, where he was Lecturer in Interior Design, PhD Coordinator for the Mackintosh School of Architecture and Course Leader for the Worlding Fictions & Fictional Worlds postgraduate elective.
In 2021 Dave founded the Image|Imaging|Interior research cluster, which currently collaborates across Edinburgh College of Art and Glasgow School of Art.
Dave lives and works between Belfast and Edinburgh.
